Lang Son Border Guards Dismantle Counterfeit Money Smuggling Ring

In Lang Son province, northern Vietnam, border guards have busted a counterfeit money smuggling ring. Around 1 AM on September 1st, the intelligence department of the Lang Son Provincial Border Guard Command, in coordination with the Chi Ma Border Gate Border Guard Station, arrested a suspect attempting to bring counterfeit currency into the country. The operation was carried out as part of a specialized investigation code-named "LS826." Lang Son province shares a border with China, making the region susceptible to cross-border criminal activities. The influx of counterfeit money poses a serious threat to the stability of Vietnam's economy, and border guards are continuously strengthening surveillance and enforcement. Vietnam has achieved remarkable economic growth in recent years. However, criminal activities that threaten the integrity of the domestic economy persist.
