Kratie University Offers 300 Scholarships, Including Dormitory Facilities

Kratie University has announced that it will offer 300 scholarships to students nationwide for the 2026-2027 academic year, providing opportunities for higher education. This scholarship program is specifically designed to support students facing economic hardship and poverty. According to Mr. Ki Visal, Vice-Rector of Kratie University, 300 scholarships are provided annually through the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sport, with students applying through their respective school principals after the first semester of each academic year. Additionally, Prime Minister Hun Manet and Dr. Pich Chanmony have provided 30 special scholarships for motivated students. Furthermore, 20 scholarships each will be offered through the leadership of various ministries, the Governor of Kratie Province, district governors, various provincial institutions, and the five commune administrations in Kratie City, as well as all high school principals in Kratie Province. The Departments of Education, Youth and Sport in provinces including Stung Treng, Ratanakiri, Mondulkiri, Preah Vihear, Kampong Cham, and Tboung Khmum will also contribute 20 scholarships in collaboration with Kratie University. Through the European Union (EU), 15 scholarships will be provided, selected through an examination at the Directorate of Higher Education. Successful candidates will receive free tuition and a monthly stipend of 650,000 riels until they complete their bachelor's degree. Beyond these 300 scholarships, the university also offers scholarships based on academic merit and study programs. Students with grades A and B will receive a 100% scholarship, while those with C and D will receive 70%. For Saturday and Sunday study programs, grades A and B will receive a 70% scholarship, and C and D will receive a 50% scholarship. The main fields of study covered by the scholarships include Agricultural and Community Development, Business and Entrepreneurship, English Language, and Public Administration. For students coming from distant areas, particularly from districts within Kratie Province and other provinces, the university provides dormitory facilities. However, the use of these facilities requires prior application, as the university cannot accommodate all requests due to the current high occupancy.
