The current water level of the Sittoung River in Madauk Township is over one foot above the township's warning level, and it is expected to rise by about two inches within the next 24 hours, continuing to remain above the warning level, according to the announcement. Therefore, residents living near the river and in low-lying areas within Madauk Township have been advised to evacuate to flood-free areas.
