Tuop states he had been serving as a contract official for many years before Kon Ann took office. According to Tuop Sang's account, he had worked at the Angkor Borei District Hall for many years and was a regular contract official. He claims the termination has left him bewildered as he has not received a clear explanation for the reasons behind it. Tuop Sang further alleges that the district governor's salary was paid concurrently with his own. However, when it came time for salary disbursement, he was told there were no funds available. Concurrently, Tuop Sang asserts that after his dismissal, the role he previously fulfilled was taken over by the district governor's car driver.
