Vietnam's Diplomacy Aligns with Business Community for Growth

On August 6, within the framework of the 33rd Diplomatic Conference, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs organized a business connection session titled 'Diplomacy Accompanying the Business Community' in Hanoi. The meeting was attended by Politburo Member and Minister of Foreign Affairs Bui Thanh Son, Vietnamese Ambassadors and Heads of Representative Missions abroad, along with representatives from Vietnamese industry associations and the business community. In his opening remarks, Minister Bui Thanh Son emphasized that Vietnam is entering a new era of development, where foreign affairs and international integration continue to be 'crucially important and regular' tasks, contributing to maintaining a peaceful and stable environment, mobilizing external resources, and enhancing the country's standing. He stated that economic diplomacy needs continuous innovation, focusing on serving citizens and businesses, to promote new growth engines, expand markets, support effective business integration, and improve policy advisory quality. He affirmed that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs is always ready to accompany, support, and act as a bridge for businesses to expand international cooperation. During the discussion sessions, delegates exchanged views on businesses' needs in attracting investment, supply chain linkages, technology transfer cooperation, enhancing production capacity, expanding export markets, and investing abroad. Numerous solutions were proposed to strengthen coordination between businesses and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, as well as Vietnamese Representative Missions abroad.
