Bo Ha Town Elevated to Bo Ha City in Bac Ninh, Marking New Development Hub in Northern Province

Bo Ha Town in Vietnam's northern Bac Ninh Province has officially been elevated to Bo Ha City, following a resolution by the Standing Committee of the National Assembly. The announcement was marked by a ceremony on the evening of September 12, attended by the town's Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee, and the Fatherland Front Committee, heralding a new phase of development for the area. This elevation is part of a broader national effort in Vietnam to review administrative divisions and promote the development of provincial cities. Bo Ha City, situated in the northern part of Bac Ninh Province, benefits from a strategic location as a transportation hub. The upgrade is expected to accelerate infrastructure development, attract investment, and foster the growth of the service sector, thereby revitalizing the regional economy. In recent years, Vietnam has seen a trend of towns being upgraded to cities, driven by ongoing urbanization. Ho Chi Minh City has approved the elevation of 29 districts to city status, while similar administrative changes are underway in Da Nang, Tay Ninh Province, and Vinh Long Province.
