Cambodian People's Party Urges Local Leaders to Enhance Public Service Delivery

The Cambodian People's Party (CPP) has strongly urged its local party leaders to improve the execution of public duties and the quality of public service delivery to citizens. This is seen as part of efforts to strengthen the party's base ahead of the 2027 commune/sangkat council elections and the 2028 general elections. Dr. Othman Hassan, a member of the CPP's Standing Committee, Deputy Head of the Working Group for Phnom Penh Capital City, and Head of the Working Group for the Russey Keo District, attended separate meetings with party leaders and members in the Toul Sangke 1st and 2nd Sangkats of Russey Keo District, Phnom Penh. The series of meetings with party leaders and members from all seven sangkats in Russey Keo District took place consecutively from July 25th to July 30th. During the occasion, Dr. Othman Hassan expressed his delight in meeting with the valiant activists who have consistently brought success to the party. He explained that while he initially intended to hold a joint meeting for all seven sangkats in Russey Keo District, he decided to organize them separately due to the distinct challenges and situations faced by each sangkat, requiring targeted and timely discussions and resolutions. Dr. Othman Hassan further stated that the purpose of these visits was to boost the efficiency of local work and to remind party leaders and members at the grassroots level to pay greater attention to their duties and to provide better public services to the people. He also stressed the importance of grasping detailed information and the actual situation in each locality, and to strive to eliminate any past inefficiencies to prevent public dissatisfaction. He expressed hope and confidence that the members and the entire party working team will continue to maintain solidarity and unity, serving as a strong force and backbone for the people. He urged them to successfully implement the outlined strategic plans in preparation for the upcoming elections.
