A car caught fire near the 143rd mile of the Yangon-Mandalay Expressway

It is reported that a car caught fire near the 143rd mile of the Yangon-Mandalay Expressway on the afternoon of August 4th, and firefighters from the expressway fire brigade extinguished the blaze. Around 1 p.m. on August 4th, upon receiving a report that a car with glass windows was on fire near mile marker 143, furlong 6, on the Yangon-Mandalay Expressway on the lane heading from Yangon to Mandalay, firefighters from the Bo Gyi Gone Expressway Fire Station in Oktwin Township were dispatched to assist in extinguishing the fire. It is reported that the fire was extinguished at 1:35 p.m. Regarding the situation of the incident, a monk from Oktwin Township wrote on social media about the situation, stating, "Around 1:00 p.m. today, a car with glass windows caught fire near mile marker (143/6) on the east side of the Yangon-Mandalay Expressway. A devotee returning to Hpa-an called to report it, so I relayed the information to the head of the Oktwin Township Fire Department. The fire brigade from Expressway (137) immediately departed and extinguished the fire. The car was reduced to its frame—it looked like an Alphard or a Super Custom." In connection with the incident, officials from the Bo Gyi Gone Expressway Police Force in Oktwin Township are investigating the case.
