Vice President says China-Myanmar Economic Corridor cooperation has been further enhanced

Vice President Daw Nan Ni Ni Aye said that strategic comprehensive cooperation between the two countries, especially the China-Myanmar Economic Corridor under the "Belt and Road" Initiative, has been further enhanced. This was stated during her speech at a reception held to commemorate the 77th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China, which took place on the evening of September 22 at the Wyndham Grand Hotel in Mingalar Taung Nyunt Township, Yangon Region. The reception was attended by Vice President Daw Nan Ni Ni Aye, along with Speaker of the National Assembly Jeng Phang Naw Taung, Union Ministers Lieutenant General Phone Myat and U Than Maung, Speaker of the Yangon Region Hluttaw, senior military officials, the Commander of the Yangon Military Command, Chairmen of the International Relations Committees of the Pyithu Hluttaw and the Amyotha Hluttaw, responsible officials, regional ministers, the Ambassador of the People's Republic of China to Myanmar, Ms. Ma Jia, Ambassadors from foreign embassies in Yangon, Chargés d'affaires, military attachés, and invited guests. Initially, Vice President Daw Nan Ni Ni Aye and the attendees were welcomed by the Ambassador of the People's Republic of China to Myanmar, Ms. Ma Jia, military attachés, and responsible officials, and they toured the Myanmar-China Friendship Memorial Exhibition that was displayed. Following that, the ceremony commenced with the singing of the national anthems of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar and the People's Republic of China, and the Ambassador of the People's Republic of China to Myanmar delivered a welcoming speech. Subsequently, in her speech, Vice President Daw Nan Ni Ni Aye stated that Myanmar and China are good neighboring countries with a long shared border. She said that throughout the eras, based on the Five Principles of Peaceful Coexistence, and founded on mutual respect, understanding, and genuine neighborliness, they have strived to further develop and strengthen close cooperation and partnership. She also mentioned that the two countries, based on the "brotherly" friendship, have always supported each other when needed. Furthermore, she stated that comprehensive cooperation in various sectors has been deepened and mutual understanding has been enhanced. She urged for increased efforts in the coming periods to boost exchanges between the peoples of the two countries, including trade, investment, culture, and education. She expressed great appreciation for the continued support and assistance from the Chinese government towards Myanmar's efforts for peace, stability, and national development, as well as for Myanmar's positive support and assistance on regional and international platforms, especially within ASEAN and the United Nations. On the occasion of the 77th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China, Vice President Daw Nan Ni Ni Aye wished for the continuous development and prosperity of the People's Republic of China and for the eternal endurance of the "brotherly" friendship between Myanmar and China. Leaders of political parties attending the ceremony expressed their good wishes for the enduring and strong "brotherly" friendship between Myanmar and China. Subsequently, Vice President Daw Nan Ni Ni Aye and the Chinese Ambassador cut the cake commemorating the 77th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China and took a group photo with the attendees. Afterward, Vice President Daw Nan Ni Ni Aye had dinner together with the attendees. During dinner, an art troupe from Yunnan Province of the People's Republic of China and embassy staff presented traditional cultural dances and songs.
