Cambodia Marks One Year Since Thai Border Incursion, Mourns Victims and Calls for Unity
Cambodia marked the one-year anniversary of what it describes as a large-scale invasion by Thai forces. According to AKP, on July 24, 2026, Thai troops allegedly used heavy weapons, chemical agents, cluster bombs, aerial bombardment, and kamikaze drones against military and civilian targets. Heng Ratana, Director-General of HALO Trust Cambodia, called for the event to serve as a historical and scientific lesson to strengthen national unity and paid tribute to fallen soldiers and civilians.
