Cambodia Marks One Year Since Thai Border Incursion, Mourns Victims and Calls for Unity

Cambodia marked the one-year anniversary on July 24, 2026, of what it claims was a large-scale incursion by Thai forces into its territory. State news agency AKP reported that on this day 365 days prior, Thai soldiers allegedly launched an invasion using heavy weapons, chemical agents, cluster bombs, aerial bombardment, and kamikaze drones, targeting both military and civilian areas indiscriminately. He took the opportunity to offer merit and blessings to the souls of soldiers and national police who sacrificed their lives in defense of the nation, religion, and the Khmer King, as well as to Cambodian citizens who lost their lives due to this invasion by Siam.
