Teacher Reports Finding Over 50 Million VND to Police

In An Giang Province, southern Vietnam, the honest actions of a teacher have garnered widespread praise within the local community. Nguyễn Kiều Oanh, a teacher from Mỹ Lâm Secondary School in Vĩnh Thông Ward, Rạch Giá City, found a bag containing over 50 million VND (approximately 2.5 million JPY) and several personal identification documents on the evening of July 19th while on her way to work. Ms. Oanh immediately reported the find to the Rạch Giá Ward Police. The police promptly initiated an investigation and, using the documents found in the bag, identified the owner of the lost property. On July 20th, the entire sum of money and documents were successfully returned to the owner, Nguyễn Trúc Giang. Ms. Giang expressed profound gratitude to Ms. Oanh for her honesty and to the police officers for their swift and efficient response. This incident serves as a symbol of integrity and mutual support within Vietnamese society, positively impacting the local community. The exemplary behavior of a teacher and the dedication of the police force in serving the public have contributed to spreading virtue in the community.
