Myanmar Labour Alliance denounces “fake” unions in May Day call to action
On the eve of International Workers’ Day, the Myanmar Labour Alliance (MLA) denounced military-backed “fake” unions for sabotaging the labour movement. Amid worsening working conditions since the 2021 coup, the MLA has urged the international community to take decisive action, including invoking Article 33 of the ILO Constitution.
