Indonesia has urged BRICS (Brazil, Russia, India, China, South Africa) member states to leverage their shared strengths and enhance cooperation in addressing global challenges. This call stems from the recognition of the increasing importance of multilateral cooperation amid growing global economic uncertainties. The Indonesian stance suggests that by consolidating the diverse economic, political, and cultural strengths of BRICS nations, while respecting their individual characteristics, the group can contribute to building a more robust global governance framework. Emphasis was placed on the significance of BRICS working together to tackle issues such as economic slowdowns, inflationary pressures, and geopolitical tensions. Indonesia acknowledges the growing influence of BRICS in the international arena and implies an intention to use this platform to amplify the voice of emerging and developing countries, aiming for a more equitable and inclusive international order. Specifically, enhanced collaboration in areas like trade, investment, technological cooperation, and climate change mitigation is anticipated.
