Chinese Firm to Establish Investment Operations Center in Cambodia to Attract Chinese Investors
China's New Dazheng Property Group announced plans to establish an investment operations center in Cambodia, aiming to attract and facilitate Chinese investment. Prime Minister Hun Manet welcomed the initiative and expressed optimism for expanded cooperation in the education sector.
Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Manet met with Mr. Li Maoshun, Chairman of the Board of Directors of New Dazheng Property Group Co., Ltd. (New Dazheng), on July 17, 2026. The company announced its plan to establish an investment operations center in Cambodia to facilitate and attract Chinese investors. Mr. Li informed the Prime Minister about his company's business operations, which specialize in urban public space improvement, buildings, and smart cities, and its collaborations with over 100 universities in China. He added that the company has been studying investment opportunities in Cambodia and has partnered with local entities to capitalize on these prospects. The establishment of an investment operations center in Cambodia, in partnership with Cambodian counterparts, aims to further attract Chinese investors. Furthermore, Mr. Li expressed interest in collaborating with Cambodian universities to create opportunities for Cambodian students to study in China. In response, Prime Minister Hun Manet warmly welcomed the company's intentions and cooperation with Cambodian partners in exploring investment opportunities. He welcomed the plan to establish an investment operations center to provide comprehensive information to Chinese investors about Cambodia's potential and investment prospects. Regarding educational cooperation, the Prime Minister highlighted education as a top priority for the government, noting that many Cambodian students have received scholarships to study in China and have actively contributed to national development upon their return. Finally, the Prime Minister encouraged the company to continue close cooperation with its local partners and maintain communication with relevant ministries and institutions to promote concrete investments in Cambodia.
