Vietnam Enhances Fitness Instructor Training to Elevate Professional Standards
Vietnam is prioritizing the development of qualified fitness and bodybuilding instructors to meet growing demand. A Level II "Fitness and Bodybuilding Instructor" training course has commenced at Hanoi National University of Education, attracting 174 participants nationwide to enhance expertise and practical skills.
The development of the fitness and bodybuilding sector in Vietnam is increasingly highlighting the need for personnel with specialized knowledge and coaching skills. A commencement ceremony for the "Fitness and Bodybuilding Instructor - Level II" training course was recently held at Hanoi National University of Education, marking a significant step in the nation's sports instructor development. The course, running from August 2nd to 9th, attracted 174 participants from across the country. Of these, 64 attended in person at the university, while 110 participated online. This program is designed to enhance the quality of human resources in Vietnam's fitness and bodybuilding fields, preparing them for a new phase of development. Speaking at the opening ceremony, Mr. Nguyen Hong Minh, Standing Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Weightlifting and Bodybuilding Federation and Head of the Organizing Committee, emphasized that the training course demonstrates a strong commitment to improving the quality of coaches and instructors, meeting the evolving demands of the fitness and bodybuilding movement nationwide. He expressed his hope that participants would engage in serious study, absorb specialized knowledge and practical experience, and effectively apply them in their teaching and coaching roles upon completion. Mr. Do Xuan Duyet, Head of the Physical Education Faculty at Hanoi National University of Education, congratulated the participants and urged them to make the most of their study time to elevate their professional expertise and vocational skills, thereby meeting the increasingly high standards in fitness and bodybuilding instruction. The curriculum is structured to update participants on specialized knowledge, coaching techniques, teaching methodologies, and new content within the fitness and bodybuilding domain. It targets coaches, athletes, physical education teachers, and individuals involved in training guidance who seek to enhance their professional qualifications. The blended learning approach, combining in-person and online formats, expands access to the program for participants in various regions. The participation of 174 individuals underscores the growing demand for well-structured training programs in fitness and bodybuilding. This model also facilitates the exchange of practical experiences between instructors and peers. In recent years, the fitness and bodybuilding movement has experienced robust growth, leading to a higher demand for professionally trained and certified instructors. Consequently, the Vietnam Weightlifting and Bodybuilding Federation identifies the training and development of its guidance personnel as a critical task to improve the quality of professional activities and meet the sport's developmental needs in the current era. This training course is a collaborative effort involving the Vietnam Weightlifting and Bodybuilding Federation, Hanoi National University of Education, and EVO Vietnam High-Tech Sports Solutions Co., Ltd. This partnership ensures the program integrates theoretical knowledge with practical experience, equipping participants with essential skills for coaching and guiding clients after completing the course. The training is scheduled to conclude on August 9th. Upon successful completion and meeting all assessment requirements, participants will receive official certification, establishing a foundation for continued professional development and engagement in fitness and bodybuilding coaching at clubs, sports centers, and training facilities nationwide.
