Mekong, September 23 In Kalaw Township, southern Shan State, a deputy police officer from the drug enforcement force sustained serious injuries after being beaten on the night of September 22, according to local residents. It was learned that the beating occurred in front of the Pin Lon Lay restaurant, located at the exit towards Pinteya in Lehyo Ward, Aungpan Town, Kalaw Township. "He was lying on his back on the road. The police took him away in their car. He was unconscious. We don't know who beat him.
