Vietnam's Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism Launches Emulation Movement for "Double-Digit" Sustainable Growth
Vietnam's Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism has launched an emulation movement to achieve "double-digit" sustainable growth targets for 2026-2030. The initiative aims to position culture, information, sports, and tourism as key drivers of socio-economic development, focusing on resource mobilization, innovation, and digital/green transitions.
The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism has issued a plan to implement the "Determination to Successfully Achieve the 'Double-Digit' Sustainable Growth Target for the period 2026-2030" emulation movement. This initiative aims to create a vibrant emulation spirit across the entire sector, contributing to making culture, information, sports, and tourism important pillars and driving forces for socio-economic development. The emulation movement will be deployed within the agencies and units under the Ministry, involving officials, civil servants, public employees, and workers from these entities, covering the period from 2026 to 2030. Its core objective is to effectively implement the Party's guidelines and policies, particularly Resolution of the 14th National Party Congress and Resolution No. 80-NQ/TW dated January 7, 2026, of the Politburo on the development of Vietnamese culture. The movement seeks to foster solidarity, innovation, and a spirit of contribution, driving breakthroughs in reform and development to help the entire nation achieve its "double-digit" sustainable growth goals. To contribute to these objectives, the movement will focus on mobilizing and effectively utilizing all resources, supporting businesses, and accelerating science and technology, innovation, digital transformation, green transition, and sustainable energy. It will also emphasize efficient resource management, environmental protection, and the practice of thrift and anti-waste. Furthermore, the movement will promote the building of new rural areas, sustainable poverty reduction, and socio-economic development in ethnic minority and mountainous regions, aiming for modern, sustainable rural areas that preserve cultural identity. A key focus is also on building a modern, professional, and incorruptible administrative system, enhancing the quality and efficiency of local government operations to serve the people and businesses, meeting the demands of rapid and sustainable development with the slogan "government close to the people, near the grassroots, dedicated and effective service." Alongside these efforts, the movement aims to develop cultural value systems, improve the quality of education, training, and healthcare, and ensure social progress and equity, thereby strengthening the protection, improvement, and comprehensive enhancement of people's lives. Through this emulation movement, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism expects to inspire proactive spirit, boldness in thinking and acting, and accountability for the common good, while elevating the quality and effectiveness of state management functions in culture, information, sports, and tourism. Timely and transparent rewards will be given to collectives and individuals with outstanding achievements, breakthroughs, and practical initiatives, contributing to the "double-digit" sustainable growth target for 2026-2030.
