Myanmar female worker falls to death from building while evading operation in Malaysia

A Myanmar female worker fell to her death from a building while evading an operation in Malaysia, the Myanmar Social Assistance Association (Malaysia) announced. The deceased was identified as Ma Khet Kye Khine (38 years old) from Hwe Gyo Chaung village, Hlaing Thar Yar Township, Yangon Region. She was residing and working in Malacca City, Malaysia, and fell while walking across a metal pipe connecting her residence to another house, as authorities were conducting raids on undocumented residents in her neighborhood. She slipped and fell. Due to the fall, she was admitted to Malacca General Hospital in Malaysia for treatment and passed away on July 6, according to the association. Therefore, at the request of the family, necessary arrangements were made, and a memorial service was held on July 11 at TA FOOK funeral service in Kajang, Selangor, Malaysia, and the body was sent to Yangon International Airport on July 12. Since July, Malaysian authorities have been conducting continuous raids and arresting undocumented workers in areas where many foreign workers, including Myanmar nationals, reside, according to some Malaysian media reports.
