Actor Minh Luan Builds 300 sqm House for Parents

Actor Minh Luan, 41, has built a 300 sqm house for his parents in his hometown of Dong Thap province. The project took two months to complete, during which Luan commuted frequently between Ho Chi Minh City and Dong Thap to supervise the construction. The house spans 300 sqm and features three bedrooms and two bathrooms, situated on a 3,000 sqm plot of land. It is designed in a neoclassical style with a Thai-style roof. The interior predominantly uses wood, reflecting his parents' preferences. Luan decided to demolish and renovate about 80% of the existing structure, which was built 20 years ago. He revealed it took nearly two years of persistent persuasion to convince his parents, who are older and tend to be hesitant about change, preferring to preserve old memories. "When parents are old and weak, my biggest priority is to do things that make them happy," he said, emphasizing his desire to provide them with a comfortable living space. To dedicate his full attention to this project, Minh Luan put his work in Ho Chi Minh City on hold and declined a role in a new film project by director Phuong Dien. Previously, Luan had also renovated his home garden, aiming to create a relaxing space away from the bustling city. He had a portion of the banana plantation removed and planted various fruit trees such as star apple, guava, jackfruit, durian, sapodilla, and mai (plum) trees. At 41, Minh Luan remains single. He is a familiar face on Southern television, having appeared in dramas like "Cỏ đuôi gà," "Yêu thêm lần nữa," "Anh em nhà bác sĩ," and "Pha lê không dễ vỡ." His recent projects include "Lời nguyền lúc 0h," "Mẹ rơm," and "Hai Muối." In 2020, he collaborated with artist Hong Van to open the Cho Cho Lon Theatre.
