Agusan del Sur town declared peace zone, former NPA stronghold
Loreto town in Agusan del Sur, once a stronghold of the New People's Army (NPA), has been declared a "Stable Internal Peace and Security" (SIPS) zone. This follows the surrender of 349 NPA members and improved security over the past six years.
