Bangkok's Suvarnabhumi International Airport has climbed three places to 36th in the latest global airport rankings, maintaining its strong performance among Southeast Asian hubs. Singapore Changi Airport has retained its title as the world’s best airport in 2026, according to the World Airport Awards by aviation consultancy Skytrax. Changi ranked first in the 2026 awards, marking the 14th time it has won the Airport of the Year title in the 27-year history of the awards. South Korea’s Seoul Incheon Airport ranked second, followed by Tokyo Haneda in third. Hong Kong International Airport ranked fourth, while Tokyo Narita rounded out the top five. The top 10 were: Singapore Changi Seoul Incheon Tokyo Haneda Hong Kong Tokyo Narita Paris Charles de Gaulle Rome Fiumicino Istanbul Munich Vancouver Among Southeast Asian airports, Bangkok’s Suvarnabhumi Airport ranked 36th, improving from 39th in the 2025 rankings. Malaysia’s Kuala Lumpur International Airport ranked 60th, while Vietnam’s Noi Bai International Airport in Hanoi ranked 71st and Da Nang International Airport ranked 75th. The results put Singapore Changi at the top of the global airport rankings, while Suvarnabhumi recorded a three-place improvement from the previous year.
