The forum, held in Sihanoukville City, Preah Sihanouk Province on July 9, 2026, was attended by CSO representatives and local authorities from the province. Deputy Governor Long Dimong encouraged CSOs to strengthen their digital capabilities by adapting to and continuously learning new technologies. He also urged them to enhance their data and information management skills to avoid the risks of cybercrime and to utilize digital platforms to expand their outreach, increase transparency, and facilitate communication with local communities and sub-national administrations, thereby further improving their operational efficiency. Meanwhile, Duong Virak emphasized the importance of understanding digital transformation and digital government policies. He called for more active participation from CSOs to collectively prevent fake news and digital crimes within communities, aiming to improve the well-being of local residents.
