Cambodia's SDF Wins Outstanding Public Governance Award for Second Consecutive Year

The Skills Development Fund (SDF), operating under Cambodia's Ministry of Economy and Finance, has achieved significant recognition in the field of public governance. The fund was awarded the "Outstanding Independent Corporate Governance Award for Public Governance" for the second consecutive year (2024 and 2025) at the "Public Governance Forum 2026," held on August 4, 2026. This forum, organized by the Public Governance Regulator under the theme "Governance in the Era of a Single Actor System and Five-Year Achievements," took place at the Sokha Phnom Penh Hotel and was presided over by H.E. Aun Pornmoniroth, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Economy and Finance. The "Outstanding Independent Corporate Governance Award" is granted to only three entities, and SDF's achievement signifies recognition of its efforts and the trust placed in its transparent and efficient management of public funds. This success also reflects the close cooperation with private sector partners and training institutions in developing a workforce that meets labor market demands. The SDF expressed its profound gratitude to the Public Governance Regulator and all relevant partners for their continued trust and contribution to this accomplishment. Established in 2023 as a National Trust Fund under the Ministry of Economy and Finance, the SDF aims to foster genuine partnerships between the private sector and training institutions to enhance skills development aligned with labor market needs. The ultimate goal is to drive economic growth and transform Cambodia into a high-income country by 2050.
