Vietnam-Laos Border Guards Strengthen Cooperation Through Friendship Exchange

On July 3rd, in Kim Bang commune, Nghe An province, central Vietnam, young border guards from Vietnam and Laos participated in meaningful joint activities as part of the 'Vietnam-Laos Border Young Officers Exchange Program' scheduled for 2026. This exchange is positioned as part of the preparations for the upcoming '3rd Vietnam-Laos Border Defense Friendship Exchange,' which will take place from July 9th to 10th. Both countries are proceeding with detailed coordination for the successful execution of this important exchange. The Border Guard forces of Nghe An province regularly conduct joint patrols with their Lao counterparts to maintain peace and stability in the border areas between the two nations. Furthermore, various activities are being carried out, including the launch of a special competition period to celebrate this friendship exchange and checks on the preparation status of the program. This exchange aims to further develop the traditional friendly relations between the two countries and strengthen cooperation in border security and safety. In particular, direct interaction among young generation guards holds significant meaning in building the foundation for future bilateral relations. Under Vietnam's one-party system, cooperation with neighboring countries in areas like border security is considered an indispensable element for national security and stability.
