Chiang Rai City Hosts Young Talents Music Competition

CHIANG RAI – The Chiang Rai City Municipality recently hosted the "Young Talents Music Competition 2026" on July 18, providing a significant platform for local youth to showcase their musical talents and foster creative expression. The event was designed to encourage students to utilize their free time constructively while building self-confidence. The competition brought the community together in a lively celebration, with talented student bands delivering energetic performances. After a competitive session, the band "SIXTEEN," comprising students from Samakkhi Witthayakhom School, Chiang Rai Kindergarten, and the Provincial Administrative Organization School, was crowned the winner. Their impressive teamwork and musical prowess captivated both the judges and the enthusiastic audience. Several other local groups also received high commendation. "Hom Pom Per" secured the first runner-up position, while "Junior Band" and "Lustig" shared the second runner-up honors. The event saw strong support from local leaders, including Mayor Wanchai Jongsuthanamanee and Sports Association President Rattana Jongsuthanamanee, who attended to cheer on the young performers. Council members and administrators from eight municipal schools also showed their backing.
