Cambodia Strengthens Occupational Safety and Health Training for Factory Personnel

The Ministry of Labour and Vocational Training organized the 10th training course on "Fundamentals of Occupational Safety and Health" for 40 enterprise and factory safety and health officers and occupational doctors. The event took place on the afternoon of July 22, 2026, at the Occupational Safety and Health Training Center (OSHTC). During this crucial training session, instructors from the OSHTC presented on topics including safety devices for high-risk machinery, boiler safety systems, and the use of fire extinguishers. Participants also observed firsthand the effectiveness of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) such as safety belts, helmets, and safety shoes. They engaged in practical exercises, including simulated falls from heights and the use of full-body harnesses for high-altitude work. Furthermore, hands-on training in Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) was conducted, highlighting its vital role in saving workers' lives and enhancing workplace safety and health. The training also connected participants with the advancements in digitalizing occupational safety and health training in Cambodia. The OSHTC consistently demonstrates a high commitment to strengthening the capacity of stakeholders in Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) through quality and effective training. Their programs integrate theoretical knowledge with practical application using modern training equipment, aligning with the evolution of the global labor market.
