Cathay Pacific Survey Reveals Bangkok as Top Travel Destination

Bangkok has been voted the most favorite destination by Cathay Pacific Airways members in an annual survey, topping both long-haul and short-haul travel categories. The Hong Kong-based airline cited the Thai capital's abundant attractions, including "flavour-packed street food, world-class hospitality, electric nightlife, first-rate fine dining and some of the best shopping on Earth," as reasons for its win. Other cities shortlisted in the survey included London, Sydney, and Tokyo. Cathay Pacific, which boasts 13 million members, conducted the online survey asking members to vote for their preferred destinations, hotels, and restaurants among other categories. Separately, Shenzhen in China emerged as the top choice for long-weekend destinations, surpassing Hanoi, Seoul, and Taipei. According to the airline, Shenzhen offers a variety of attractions, from galleries, spas, and bars to ancient villages and green spaces, allowing visitors to cover a lot of ground in a short trip.
