Vietnamese NA Chairman Holds Talks in South Korea on Innovation and Competitiveness

On the morning of September 7, Vietnamese National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man attended a welcoming ceremony hosted by South Korean National Assembly Speaker Cho Jeong Sik at the National Assembly building in Seoul, the capital of South Korea, as part of his official visit. They held talks. During the talks, it was confirmed that a new phase of development for bilateral relations would be opened, with a particular focus on fostering innovation, enhancing competitiveness, and creating new growth engines between Vietnam and South Korea. The direction of further deepening cooperation by promoting innovation between the two countries through the connection of knowledge was indicated. This visit is positioned as opening a new stage of development not only for bilateral relations between Vietnam and South Korea but also for relations with Mongolia. Vietnam aims to upgrade its domestic industries and improve international competitiveness through strengthened economic and technological cooperation with South Korea. Under Vietnam's one-party system, economic growth is one of the most crucial tasks, and foreign investment and technology transfer are indispensable. South Korea is an important economic partner for Vietnam, with cooperative relationships built across a wide range of sectors, particularly in manufacturing. This meeting at the level of National Assembly chairmen is seen as further solidifying the political and economic ties between the two countries.
