Bus and Truck Collide on Cipali Toll Road Towards Jakarta, No Fatalities or Injuries Reported

A traffic accident involving a bus and a truck occurred on the Cikopo-Palimanan (Cipali) Toll Road, KM 176+00, heading towards Jakarta, on Monday (21/9/2026). Patrol officers, tow trucks, paramedics, and PJR (Toll Road Police) members were deployed to support the handling process at the scene, according to Ardam Rafif Trisilo, Head of Sustainability Management & Corporate Communications at Astra Tol Cipali. Based on initial information from the bus driver, the vehicle was traveling from Cirebon towards Jakarta. Upon reaching KM 176+00, the bus driver allegedly failed to anticipate the vehicle ahead and could not maintain a safe distance, resulting in a collision with the rear of the truck in front. Ardam stated that there were no fatalities or injuries reported in the accident. The involved vehicles were managed by officers, and the evacuation process is still ongoing. Astra Tol Cipali officers also carried out the cleanup of the cargo on the lane to ensure the road remained safe and passable for users. Meanwhile, traffic flow around the incident location is reported to be smooth and controlled. Further handling of this incident has been handed over to the local police. Astra Tol Cipali urges all road users to prioritize safety by maintaining a safe distance and paying attention to the vehicles ahead while driving. Users are also advised to adjust their speed according to traffic conditions and the surrounding environment.
