Hun Manet Leads Youth Dialogue Forum, Emphasizing Nation Building and Security
The Cambodian People's Party (CPP) held a youth dialogue forum in Pailin province under the direction of Prime Minister Hun Manet. Participants raised numerous questions and requests concerning border issues, agricultural impacts, online scams, and combating misinformation. The forum urged youth to contribute to nation-building and defend peace and sovereignty.
The Cambodian People's Party (CPP) actively organized a "Dialogue with Youth" forum in Pailin province, following direct instructions from Prime Minister Hun Manet. Approximately 1,221 young party members participated in the event. On the morning of July 19, 2026, Dr. Chrun Theravat, Vice Chairman of the CPP Central Youth Committee, attended the forum as a representative of Prime Minister Hun Manet. Dr. Bat Sreymom, Chairwoman of the Pailin Provincial Party Committee and head of the provincial youth party organization, also presided over the event. Following a welcoming report from the Provincial Party Committee Chairman, Dr. Chrun Theravat conveyed greetings and well wishes from Prime Minister Hun Manet and Dr. Bat Sreymom to the attendees. The four-hour forum saw active discussions, with participants raising numerous questions and requests. Key issues addressed included border disputes with Thailand and solutions to their incursions, the impact of unilateral border closures on agriculture, military conscription laws, public service delivery mechanisms, safe village-commune policies, forms and prevention of online scams, countering and responding to fake news on social media, political and psychological training for party youth, and preventing the import of prohibited goods. Concluding the forum, Dr. Chrun Theravat offered recommendations to the party youth. These included collaborating with their respective party committees to develop action plans for the upcoming elections, strengthening youth party structures at all levels, providing political and psychological training, disseminating information on government efforts to protect citizens' lives and national territory, fostering national unity to safeguard peace, sovereignty, territorial integrity, and Khmer identity, promoting confidence in the leadership's handling of Cambodia-Thailand border issues, boycotting aggressive foreign products while encouraging domestic consumption, opposing fake news, and implementing party decisions for the 2027 commune-sangkat council elections.
