Two fishermen remain missing after departing for a fishing trip off Occidental Mindoro waters. The Philippine Coast Guard Station Occidental Mindoro is appealing to the public for any information that could help locate the missing individuals.
Two fishermen are reported missing after they left to fish in the waters off Calavite, Paluan, Occidental Mindoro. The Coast Guard Station Occidental Mindoro (CGSOM) has appealed to the public for assistance in locating the missing individuals. The missing fishermen have been identified as Rolando Rodriguez, 59, and Armando De Ladia, 50. Both are residents of Sitio Balibago 2, Barangay Armado. They departed for a fishing expedition in the waters off Calavite and have not yet returned. The CGSOM is currently conducting search operations for the missing fishermen. Incidents of missing persons at sea, particularly among fishermen, are not uncommon in the Philippines, often attributed to sudden weather changes, mechanical failures, or unforeseen accidents. Such events can have a significant impact on coastal communities that rely heavily on fishing. The Coast Guard urges the public to report any information regarding the missing fishermen to aid in the ongoing search efforts.
