Inspection Tour: Electricity distribution in Bago and Yangon Regions

Deputy Minister for Electricity and Energy U Aye Kyaw and officials made a tour to observe the work process and electricity distribution in Bago and Yangon Regions. On 12th September, the Deputy Minister visited Region Electric Engineer Office (Bago-East) where he heard report by the official and stressed to ensure safety of powerlines in electricity distribution, to reduce elctric losess and to collect the overdue electricity bill. In the evening, the Deputy Minister observed 66/11 KV 20 MVA 1 mile GIS Substation in Hlegu Township and instructed the necessaries. At the Thaketa electric Manager Office of Yangon Electricity Supply Corporation on the 13th, the Deputy Minister heard reports regarding the status of works undertaken in Eastern district, installing Digital Smart Meter and future plans, and supplemented the necessaries. The Deputy Minister and officials then oberved the installing Digital Smart Meter in Thaketa township to implement AMI system and electricity distribution from 66/33/11 KV 30 MVA MOGE GIS substation.
