Vietnam Airlines operated a special flight from Hanoi to Ho Chi Minh City to celebrate National Day (September 2nd). The flight featured live music by the Military Honor Guard and passenger sing-alongs, promoting Vietnamese culture and patriotism to both domestic and international travelers.
Vietnam Airlines operated a special flight, VN245 from Hanoi to Ho Chi Minh City, to celebrate the upcoming National Day on September 2nd. This event was part of a series of programs titled "Proud Melodies - Vietnam Takes Flight," organized in collaboration with units under the Ministry of National Defense. During the flight, the Military Honor Guard performed music, and passengers joined in singing patriotic songs while waving the national flag. Dang Anh Tuan, Deputy General Director of Vietnam Airlines, stated, "Vietnam Airlines' flights connect regions and introduce Vietnam to the world daily. As the national flag carrier, we hope that on these journeys, passengers not only reach their destinations but also experience the country's cultural and spiritual values. On National Day, everyone naturally singing familiar melodies is an accessible way to share that pride." Contestants from Miss Vietnam 2026 also participated, distributing national flags to passengers. The Military Honor Guard performed patriotic songs such as "Dat Nuoc Tron Niem Vui" (The Country Full of Joy), "Noi Vong Tay Lon" (Connecting the Great Circle), and "Nhu Co Bac Trong Ngay Dai Thang" (As If Uncle Ho Was Present on the Day of Great Victory). Many passengers, including international travelers, joined in the singing and waved their flags. Mia Sarah, a passenger from the UK, shared, "I didn't expect to experience the Vietnamese National Day atmosphere on a flight. When everyone started singing and raising their flags, I wanted to join in. This will be an unforgettable memory of my trip to Vietnam." This event is part of Vietnam Airlines' ongoing efforts to bring Vietnamese culture and stories closer to both domestic and international passengers in connection with major national holidays. The flight landed as scheduled at Tan Son Nhat International Airport in Ho Chi Minh City.
