Ho Chi Minh City Exceeds 4 Million Health Checkups

The resident health checkup program in Ho Chi Minh City has surpassed 4 million participants in just over three months since its launch. This achievement is attributed to the collaborative efforts of the local government, healthcare facilities, and the active participation of the citizens. The Ministry of Health has proposed increasing the subsidy for health insurance contributions for five target groups, aiming to strengthen the universal health insurance system. The importance of data management during comprehensive health checkups is also highlighted, requiring a balance between protecting personal information and providing efficient medical services. Ho Chi Minh City plans to accelerate the implementation of regular health screenings to improve the overall health level of its residents. In particular, free health checkups for children are planned before the start of the new school year, focusing on nurturing the health of the next generation.
