PNDF Battalion 1011 Announces 3rd Anniversary

Mekong, September 23 The Pa-O National Defense Force (PNDF) Battalion No. 1011 announced on September 22 that it has completed 3 years since its establishment as an official battalion of the People's Defense Force (PDF). The announcement stated that Battalion No. 1011 was officially recognized as a PDF battalion under the Ministry of Defense of the National Unity Government (NUG) on September 13, 2023, and that the journey of unity since the battalion's formation will reach its 5th anniversary on June 11, 2027. "September 13th is the actual date of the battalion's establishment. Due to ground conditions, the ceremony and the date are being announced now," said a responsible official from the battalion. Although the battalion uses the name Pa-O National, it is not based on ethnicity, and members with different ethnic backgrounds participate, operating on mutual respect and cooperation, it was stated. The announcement also mentioned that during the 3-year period, it has honored and recorded the fallen comrades in battles and those who sacrificed their blood, sweat, and time in service, and expressed gratitude for the support from the public, donors, partners, and allied organizations both domestically and internationally.
