Nguyen Hung's new song, 'Gói con tim làm quà' (Gift of My Heart), has garnered millions of listens and is being embraced by young couples for proposal videos. Released in early September, the track surpassed one million views on YouTube within just over 10 days. It has become a trending search term among young people, with tens of thousands using it as background music for videos expressing affection, proposals, and wedding anniversaries on TikTok. The MV for 'Gói con tim làm quà,' penned and performed by Nguyen Hung, was released on August 18. The song captivates listeners with its simple vocal delivery and Bao Huy's poignant piano accompaniment. The lyrics convey the sincere feelings of a young man in unrequited love, hoping for a chance to walk down the aisle with his beloved, to experience their youth together, and to stay by each other's side until their 'hair turns gray.' "You gave me a flower, I wrapped a gift of my heart But I fear the flower will fade with the passage of time Come back to me, and I will hold you in my arms No fear of separation, with you, I will cherish you forever..." The song is also the theme music for the upcoming film 'Bò sữa bay' (Flying Milk Cow). Nguyen Hung shared that the inspiration for the song came from the love story of the film's main characters, Quan (Vo Dien Gia Huy) and San (Ngoc Xuan). Reading the script, he felt the strength and sincerity of Quan's love for San, which led him to use the phrase 'gói con tim làm quà' as the song's theme. After its completion, director Nguyen Pham Thanh Dat included the song in the film's soundtrack due to its romantic and simple melody, which perfectly suited the film's tone. Nguyen Hung, 27, is an actor, composer, and singer, and a member of the music group Maydays. In 2025, he achieved significant success with his song 'Phép màu' (Miracle), which became a favorite among high school students and garnered 94 million views on YouTube. He also participated in the short film 'Đàn cá gỗ' (Wooden Fish School), which won the Best Short Film award at the Golden Kite Awards 2024. Following this, Nguyen Hung played Hai, a young soldier, in 'Mưa đỏ' (Red Rain), a film about the battle to defend the Quang Tri Citadel. His experience in this film inspired him to write the song 'Còn gì đẹp hơn' (What More Beautiful). Earlier this year, he appeared in the musical film 'Cảm ơn người đã thức cùng tôi' (Thank You for Staying Awake With Me) directed by Chung Chi Cong. Set in Moc Chau in the 1990s, 'Bò sữa bay' revolves around a plan by a group of factory workers to steal a milk formula. The film was developed by the director from 'Tàn sữa' (Milk Residue), which was among the top five outstanding works at the CJ Short Film Contest 2024. The script had previously won an award for promising Asian film projects at the Busan International Film Festival 2025. The film features Ngoc Xuan, Vo Dien Gia Huy, Nguyen Hung, Tieu Vy, and La Thanh, and is slated for theatrical release in November. Information Source: VnExpress
