In Cambodia's capital, Phnom Penh, a severe domestic dispute tragically unfolded on September 19th around 3:00 PM. At a rented room in Prey Pring Cheung village, Chom Chao 3 commune, Sen Sok district, a man identified as Phun Phak, 33, engaged in a heated argument with his wife, Thuy Chanta, 38, a factory worker. During the altercation, Phun Phak allegedly used a sharp knife to stab his wife in the abdomen, leaving her critically injured. Following the assault on his wife, Phun Phak attempted to take his own life. He ran into a civilian's car that was passing by, apparently intending to be run over by it. This act resulted in Phun Phak sustaining severe injuries himself. Both the husband and wife are currently receiving medical treatment at the Cambodia-China Friendship Hospital Preah Kossamak.
