Cambodia Intensifies Crackdown on Illegal Fishing Gear to Protect Fishery Resources

Cambodia is intensifying its crackdown on illegal fishing activities in Kampong Thom province. On September 27, 2026, the provincial Fisheries Administration, in collaboration with community fishery committees, dismantled and destroyed a total of four cases of illegal fishing gear in Kampong Svay and Stung districts. This operation is part of the country's efforts to protect its fishery resources.
