It is reported that 13 residential houses were destroyed and damaged due to a tornado that struck around 5:50 PM on July 4 in Pote Gone village, Taungbo Hla village tract, Okkan town, Tai Chi district, Yangon region. Due to the tornado, 6 brick houses with zinc roofs, 3 houses with zinc walls and thatch roofs, and 3 pigsties and cattle sheds in the western part of Pote Gone village had their roofs blown off and damaged, and 1 house with thatch walls collapsed. Township administrator U Thant Zin and staff, township police force, township fire brigade, Red Cross nursing team, and village tract administrators visited the scene, inspected the damage, and after relocating families from the damaged houses to relatives, assisted in clearing and removing the debris from the destroyed houses.
