Cambodia High School Exam: Pass Rate Slightly Down, Top 'A' Grades Drop Significantly
Cambodia's Ministry of Education, Youth, and Sport announced the results of the 2026 high school exit examinations. A total of 125,975 candidates passed, representing 84.06% of the total examinees. This pass rate shows a decrease of 0.50 percentage points compared to 2025, when the pass rate was 84.56%. Concurrently, the number of candidates achieving the top 'A' grade also saw a significant decline. In 2026, only 2,022 candidates received an 'A', a substantial drop from 3,003 in 2025, marking a decrease of 981 students, or approximately 32.7%. The results for 2026 are broken down as follows: Grade A: 2,022 Grade B: 8,848 Grade C: 23,422 Grade D: 44,869 Grade E: 46,814 The total number of successful candidates is 125,975. The Ministry of Education, Youth, and Sport plans to officially announce the results nationwide on September 2, 2026, across all examination centers in the 25 provinces and cities. It is noted that over 150,000 candidates had registered for the 2026 high school exit examinations.
