Lynk & Co's first all-electric vehicle (EV) model in Vietnam, the '02', is drawing significant attention at showrooms nationwide ahead of its official launch. The brand aims to bolster its 'New Premium' strategy by highlighting its design and advanced technology, targeting younger consumers and those interested in fashion.
The Lynk & Co 02, the first all-electric vehicle (EV) model from the Swedish automotive brand in Vietnam, is attracting significant attention at showrooms nationwide ahead of its official launch and pricing announcement on August 11. The 02 is poised to be a key component in establishing Lynk & Co's 'New Premium' brand positioning in the Vietnamese market. Its introduction marks a further diversification of the company's product lineup, which has previously included gasoline, mild-hybrid, and plug-in hybrid vehicles. Customers like Nguyen Huyen Linh from Hanoi have praised the 02 for its unique design aesthetic. "The car has a European design, with premium finishes and a fashionable style that suits my taste," Linh commented. She added that despite Lynk & Co being a new brand, her confidence in the 02 is high because it was first launched in Europe. She found the 02 to be the most emotionally engaging and impressive among the EV models she considered in the same price range. The all-electric model is currently on display at select showrooms in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City. While official specifications and pricing are yet to be revealed, sales representatives indicate that the e-SUV will be offered in two versions, with an estimated price around VND 900 million (approximately $35,000 USD). The company has already begun accepting advance bookings. A representative from Lynk & Co Vietnam stated that since the vehicle's display at key national showrooms, there has been substantial interest, particularly from younger demographics and fashion-conscious consumers. The brand plans to officially unveil the EV at a special event in Hanoi. The expansion of charging infrastructure is also a key factor in Lynk & Co's decision to introduce the 02.
