Mother, 2 Sons Injured in Stabbing During Family Dispute in Pangasinan

CALASIAO, Pangasinan—A 74-year-old woman and her two sons were wounded in a stabbing that erupted during a family altercation inside their home shortly before midnight on Saturday (Aug. 1) in Laoac, Pangasinan. According to a Pangasinan police report, a 42-year-old man, who was allegedly intoxicated, arrived home and confronted his mother, who was already resting. The confrontation escalated, leading the man to allegedly stab his mother. His 35-year-old brother was also injured when he reportedly tried to intervene. The injured mother and her sons were rushed to a nearby hospital and are currently receiving medical treatment. Fortunately, their injuries are not considered life-threatening.
