Eastern Economic Forum: ACC Chairman attends forum in Russia

The 11th Eastern Economic Forum is currently taking place from September 1 to 4 in Vladivostok of the Russian Federation. Chairman of the Myanmar Anti-Corruption Commission U Soe Thein and his delegation arrived in Vladivostok by flight. On September 2, the Chairman met with a delegation led by the Prosecutor General of the Russian Federation Mr. A.V. Gutsan and signed the 2027–2028 Cooperation Program on Combating Corruption. The program will strengthen Myanmar-Russia friendship and institutional capacity through staff training, experience sharing, and technical exchanges in anti-corruption efforts. The Chairman also attended a working luncheon hosted by the Russian Prosecutor General. On September 3, he participated in the 11th Eastern Economic Forum’s related session, “Reducing Economic Risks as the Foundation for National Economic Development,” organized by the Russian Prosecutor General’s Office. In the afternoon, he also attended the plenary session titled “Promoting Economic Development for the People of the Far Eastern Economic Region”.
