Philippines Blocks Entry of Three US E-Waste Containers at Subic Port

The Bureau of Customs (BOC) in the Philippines prevented three containers of alleged electronic waste from the United States from being unloaded at the Port of Subic. Precautionary measures were taken as the US is not a party to the Basel Convention, which regulates the transboundary movement of hazardous waste.
