The opening ceremony's highlight was a strategic Memorandum of Understanding signed by the Vietnam Industrial Park Supply Enterprises Association and the Korea-Vietnam Association of Science and Technology, aimed at helping thousands of firms expand globally. During a working session with GEO Group, which is developing a project in Gia Lai, Vice Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of the People’s Committee of Gia Lai province Pham Anh Tuan pledged full support to ensure the venture breaks ground on schedule in October. Once external transport routes, particularly the Son La-Dien Bien-Tay Trang Border Gate expressway, are completed, they are expected to reduce cargo transport costs and time and attract investment in warehousing, logistics, processing and distribution. To develop green ports, the Vietnam Seaports Association planned to promote energy management, emission reduction, electrification, onshore power, renewable energy, measurement systems, reporting and verification of emissions (MRV), along with green financial solutions. This is the first batch of finished buses manufactured by Kim Long Motor to be transported to an international market via a dedicated roll-on/roll-off (Ro-Ro) vessel, marking a new development in logistics capacity and port connectivity in the central region. In the next phase of growth, VinFast said it will continue to put customers at the centre of its operations while investing in and expanding service capacity in key markets. As Vietnam’s economy has grown, so has its appetite for Norwegian salmon. Fresh Norwegian salmon exports to Vietnam reached approximately 7,900 tonnes in 2025, an increase of 40% from the previous year. Assoc. Prof. and Dr Ngo Tri Long of the Vietnam Financial Consulting Association proposed reviewing legislation across the entire chain of economic activities to identify and address key points of intersection in support of the green and circular transition in a consistent manner, preventing legal gaps and enabling waste to genuinely become a resource. Under the draft Law, the Government will periodically adjust market access restrictions for foreign investors based on socio-economic conditions and management requirements. This approach could shorten policy lags amid rapid changes in international capital flows, technology and supply chains, while Vietnam is shifting its investment attraction focus from quantity to quality and efficiency. Thailand is a major trading partner of Vietnam in ASEAN. Bilateral trade reached more than 22 billion USD in 2025 and continued to grow strongly this year, reaching 18.5 billion USD in the first eight months, up 30.6% year-on-year. Potential only becomes meaningful when it is translated into investment projects, trade contracts and concrete cooperative ties, said Vietnamese Consul General in Battambang Tran Tuan Anh. Experts said the 48-billion-USD target should also be viewed as an opportunity for Vietnam's garment and textile industry to improve productivity and increase value added for more sustainable competitiveness. Vietnam Defence Expo 2026 will cover about 123,800 sq.m and feature seven main areas, including indoor and outdoor exhibition spaces, a defence experience and military games area, a space showcasing defence-economic products and the cultural heritage of Vietnam’s three regions, a VIP reception area, grandstand and performance areas, and common facilities. With the current trading band of +/- 5%, the ceiling rate applicable for commercial banks during the day is 26,919 VND/USD, and the floor rate 24,355 VND/USD. To reach global markets, Lai Chau ginseng needs a clear roadmap: standardising growing areas, ensuring transparent traceability, promoting deep processing and building a national brand. By leveraging their complementary strengths under the NAP 2.0 framework, Malaysia and Vietnam have considerable potential to deepen cooperation to build a more technology-driven, sustainable, and resilient agricultural sector in Southeast Asia. Can Tho is now facing a “window of opportunity” to upgrade the quality of FDI, but needs to shift from a mindset of attracting capital to one focused on selecting, absorbing and spreading investment value. Investors are drawing a clearer distinction between economies driven by cyclical growth and those capable of converting growth momentum into sustainable, risk-adjusted returns. The initiatives included incentives for passengers to use electric Green SM vehicles to travel to the airport, fuel and emissions optimisation, adjustments to onboard products, and encouraging more responsible tavel choices. FTSE Russell views Vietnam as a remarkable growth story in Asia and a long-term partner, adding it wishes to further deepen cooperation with the Vietnamese Government and market participants, said its CEO Fiona Bassett.
