Indonesia: MBG Food Poisoning Incident Reoccurs, Tamsil Linrung Demands Comprehensive BGN Evaluation

Food poisoning incidents related to Meatball Goreng (MBG) have once again occurred in Indonesia, raising concerns about public health. Following this situation, Member of Parliament Tamsil Linrung has strongly urged the National Food Safety Agency (BGN) to conduct a comprehensive evaluation and strengthen preventive measures against recurrence. Similar food poisoning incidents have happened in the past, suggesting that while MBG is widely popular in Indonesian culinary culture, challenges remain in its hygiene management. MP Linrung emphasizes the need not to dismiss this incident as a mere accident, but to identify weaknesses in the entire food safety system and achieve fundamental improvements.
