Cambodian PM to Inspect 24/7 Healthcare Service Claims

Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Manet has expressed his intention to personally inspect healthcare facilities to verify claims that medical services are available 24 hours a day, seven days a week. This statement was made by the Prime Minister while presiding over the official inauguration of Huang May Hospital on the morning of September 16, 2026. The Prime Minister indicated that he might allocate time to visit public health centers to observe the efforts of medical teams in strengthening and providing more effective healthcare services. In response, Minister of Health Chea Ra stated that ministry officials are demonstrating their commitment to providing 24/7 services and are strengthening the integrated mechanism to serve the health of the people. This was confirmed by the Minister of Health during a meeting with his subordinates on September 15, 2026. During this meeting, the Minister also shared key visions for Cambodia's health sector, which were presented at the 17th ASEAN Health Ministers Meeting. These visions are to be implemented by leaders and health officials at all levels to further strengthen Cambodia's health system in alignment with the overall ASEAN health system.
