Vietnam Extends Maternity Leave to 7 Months from July 1, 2026, to Combat Declining Birth Rate

Vietnam will extend maternity leave for mothers giving birth to their second child from the current 6 months to 7 months, effective July 1, 2026. This measure is part of the new Population Law aimed at addressing declining birth rates and an aging population.
