The suitcases were seized as evidence. During initial questioning, the suspect confessed that the suitcases and all seized items belonged to him. He has been charged with smuggling goods out of the country without proper customs procedures and was taken to Sakhu Police Station for legal proceedings. Following these arrests, police have issued a warning to the public against accepting payment to carry goods abroad, stating that drug trafficking rings are adapting their tactics and are now using social media platforms to deceive individuals. Pol. Lt. Gen. Trairong Phiwphan, police spokesperson, noted that the Narcotics Suppression Division is expanding its investigation into networks that hire people to "carry goods" internationally. Recent cases under scrutiny include a flight attendant arrested in Australia for carrying over 1kg of heroin hidden in tote bags, and a Thai female police lieutenant who was hired to transport 30 cans of millet to China, where cannabis was discovered hidden within the cans.
