Kratie Provincial Health Department Focuses on Dengue Fever Treatment Management

The Kratie Provincial Health Department has organized a training course on "Dengue Fever Treatment Management" for medical teams at the provincial referral hospital and the four district hospitals in Kratie province on August 7, 2026. The training aims to enhance the capacity of healthcare professionals in diagnosing, caring for, and managing dengue fever patients effectively and promptly, ensuring the safety of the population, especially young children in the province. The opening ceremony was presided over by Professor Thong Sokheang, Secretary of State of the Ministry of Health, Mr. Chum Sovannarith, Undersecretary of State, and Dr. Ngei Bunlen, Director of the Kratie Provincial Health Department. The training also involved the facilitation and sharing of experiences by expert professors from the National Children's Hospital. Dr. Ngei Bunlen stated that the training is designed to strengthen the skills, techniques, and knowledge of local medical personnel in diagnosing, caring for, and managing dengue fever for higher efficiency and timeliness. This initiative is crucial for ensuring the safety of citizens, particularly young children, within the province. Following the training, Dr. Ngei Bunlen accompanied Professor Thong Sokheang and Mr. Chum Sovannarith on a mission to inspect the current healthcare service quality at the Kratie Provincial Referral Hospital. This inspection focused on monitoring the progress of dengue fever management and treatment, as well as visiting patients undergoing treatment. The delegation toured various specialized departments, engaged in discussions with the on-duty medical teams, and provided recommendations to ensure the effectiveness of healthcare services, timely response to dengue fever cases, and the overall improvement of public health and well-being in the province.
